Founders

The Lingerie Collective was founded by colleagues Clare Hlis & Tiffany Cole-Allen out of a desire to bring together professionals in all areas of the intimate apparel industry.  We hope to organize a group of like-minded professionals with the shared goal of building each other up & helping advance others in the field through mentorship, real life connections, events, community service, and support of fellow entrepreneurs.

Clare hlis

Often the youngest, and most heavily tattooed, patternmaker in sample rooms full of her older mentors, Clare quickly worked her way up from apprentice to seasoned intimate apparel patternmaker.  She started sewing at the age of 5, and after graduating from Art Institute of Philadelphia moved to New York to immediately start working in an intimate apparel sample room.  10 years of lingerie patternmaking later, she now finds herself designing & patterning luxury swimwear.  Clare is proud to work in a female –dominated industry and as the sewing protégé of a single mother, her humanitarian efforts center around empowering & employing women.
